Our Fitting & Adjustments Policy
Initial Fitting & Adjustments
Boot Mechanics in Golden & Avon Colorado, stands behind every boot we sell. A new boot purchased with us comes with a full year of adjustments from the date of purchase. When coming in for an adjustment, please come with solid details of the symptoms creating discomfort. This will help us identify, address, and solve fit issues; many of which are common with new boots.
Follow-up adjustments after one year will be charged our standard labor rate ($100/hr).
Custom Insoles
Custom insoles purchased and fit at Boot Mechanics have the same guarantee as our boots. Adjustments to a footbed may be necessary, but your foot and its connective tissue require time to adapt to the support.
Insoles solve many common issues within a ski boot, but if shell or liner work is required outside of the insole's influence (and your boots have been purchased elsewhere), that work will be subject to our standard labor rates.
Returns
Boots from Boot Mechanics take time to break in, and follow-up adjustments are expected. We will honor returns with the following considerations:
•Boots have been purchased within 30 days.
•We have been allowed to address fit issues, I.E., shell/liner adjustments, foot balance, etc. These should be addressed ASAP after the 2-3 days of skiing break-in.
•Boots must be in like new condition. Excessive scuffing or damage from skiing, walking, etc., will result in a prorated refund. We assess a minimum 10% restocking fee on any returned boots.
•Custom insoles are non-refundable.
